Vintage Coins has been in business for 10 years right here in Historic Downtown Fremont. James buy’s and sells vintage coins and gold. Accredited and a A+ rating with the BBB. Here’s what I know. I walked in, met James, we talked about his business and I told him of my project to photograph each and every downtown business. Stern at first, James smiled and said, “sounds fantastic, let’s do it”. I just love these small, operator owned, downtown businesses.

Do you remember the old saying, “a penny saved is a penny earned”? Still works today except it sounds better if we say one hundred dollars saved can become untold earnings if we invest it and wait. Right here on Park Avenue Downtown Fremont, where else, we are welcomed by JJ and Sarah with a wealth of information specializing in retirement and income planning. Nice people too.

An artisan baker is a crafts person who is trained to the highest ability to mix, ferment, shape and bake a hand crafted loaf of bread. Both Raul and Edna’s parents were/are in the baking business in Mexico. What more do we need to know about this specialty of product and person, and of course, right here in Historic Downtown Fremont.

What’s in a name? Everything when it’s “The Copy Shop” in Downtown Fremont. Ron and Kathy have celebrated 56 years as husband and wife. Almost 80 years of age, Ron has no intent of giving up a chance to meet the trade every day right there on west Military Ave. with over 40 years located in Historic Downtown Fremont. These are two of the many people making our downtown great.

Is it called “pool”, or is it “billiards”? At Shooters Saloon it’s what you ever you want. Just inside the back door right off the alley there is this inviting space, and who is it standing right there at the “pool” table, none other then Roxie. Tomorrow you get to see the rest of the place, “The Rox Club”, A dance hall with the latest design for rock and roll. These are also on Main Street, back door, Downtown Fremont.
