My my how time and things have changed, yet here we see people that are now more then ever clinging to that promise made over 60 years ago, and where else but right here in Historic Downtown Fremont.

Fresh baked bread was the aroma I enjoyed entering EL TIKAL Market. The flavor of this enchanting little grocery store is totally of Mexico. Servicio De Paqueteria: Mexico Guatemala, Y Centro America. Jefersson, he wrote his name for me, is charming and speaks his native language, no English. Still we are welcome to this new enterprise in Historic Downtown Fremont.

One more example of the diversity of Downtown Fremont, Nebraska, The INSURANCE Center. When I popped inside this neat little space two big smiles instantly greeted me. Betty and Skip needed only one second of my explaining why I was there. “You bet, we would love to have our picture taken” was the reply when I told them of my project to photograph each and every merchant in Historic Downtown Fremont.
