Keil is the name and removing hair from the heads of man, woman and child is the game of this long time barber shop. Not to many barber shops around anymore displaying the universal symbol of a proud profession, the barber pole. Connie and Gary also are snipping and grooming right along with Keil. On Saturday morning this place is a-buzz’en.

With only one foot inside the door, I’m instantly in love. Behind the counter stands Pilar Gonza’lez with the most beautiful smile and a warmth that says, “Welcome to Sassafras Bakery”. “I love doing this” she tells me. “I enjoy”. That’s all folks.
